Barletta (province of BAT), is mainly known as the Disfida's Town .The city during the famous battle between France and Spain was the scene on 13 February 1503, the Challenge that ended with the victory of Italian knights led by Ettore Fieramosca.

With our guide you will visit the Cathedral, dedicated to Santa Maria Maggiore is considered one of the four Palatine churches of Apulia, the Winery of the Challenge which according to tradition is where the challenge was banned between Ettore Fieramosca and the Frenchman captain La Motte, the imposing Castello Svevo, the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre and the Colossus (bronze statue of the fifth century depicting the "Roman Emperor Heraclius”). It is said that Frederick II put on to diet in sight of the departure, for the sixth Crusade, during his stay in Barletta Castle.
