Castro (Zinzulusa Cave), guided walking tours with local guides
The center of Castro was known in Roman times as Castra Minervae and today the country is located in a very good position retaining the structure of defensive town with its charming sixteenth century castle.
In Castro Marina, with its quaint port, there is “Zinzulusa cave” that returned traces of a human presence since prehistoric times, and is a major tourist destination. The “Zinzulusa cave” take its name from the stalactites and stalagmites that are found in it and resembling Zinzuli (hanging rags)!
